Job Description:

A construction company on Long Island is actively seeking a driven and experienced professional to join their staff as their new Controller. In this role, the Controller will oversee accounting functions and procedures.

Responsibilities

The Controller will be responsible for:

Tracking job costing and subcontractor payments
Budget/cost control tracking
Client billing and tracking
Accounts payable for jobs
General company expenses
Maintaining and reconciling checking accounts
Securing and maintaining subcontractor agreements, indemnity agreements, insurance, etc. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of related experience
- Proficiency with computer platforms and applications
- Ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly organized
- Strong interpersonal skills Desired skills
  - CPA
