The ideal candidate will have experience working with both fiction and nonfiction genres and collaborate with our editors and external partners.Avid Reader Press focuses on publishing great books with close partnerships involving authors, agents, booksellers, and media. Our team is passionate about literary excellence and dedicated to publishing with avidity.Key Responsibilities:

• Pitch and secure media interviews and reviews across print, TV, radio, podcasts, and online platforms.
• Write press releases, galley letters, and pitches.
• Arrange and execute multi-city author tours and book events.
• Collaborate with authors on exclusive essays and excerpts.
• Coordinate with publicity agencies on select titles.
• Create targeted media mailings.
• Maintain contact with authors and agents.
• Work with editorial, marketing, and sales teams on campaign execution.Qualifications:

• Minimum of five years' experience in book publicity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Creative, strategic, assertive, and persuasive communication skills.
• Reliable media relationships and knowledge of the media landscape.
• High energy, passion, and strong interpersonal skills.
