summary: The Chief of Gastroenterology at Northern Westchester

in the Gastroenterology division. The role requires a
board-certified Gastroenterologist with leadership experience,

participating in physician recruitment. Northern Westchester
Hospital (NWH), a member of Northwell Health , is seeking a dynamic
and experienced physician leader to serve as the Chief of
Gastroenterology. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and

Gastroenterologist with a proven track record of leadership,

innovative environment. Position Overview: The Chief of
Gastroenterology will provide strategic direction and oversight for
all aspects of the Gastroenterology division, including clinical
operations, program development, quality improvement, and physician
recruitment. This role involves working closely with hospital
leadership, physicians, and staff to enhance the delivery of
gastroenterological care within the community. Key
Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to the
Gastroenterology team.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand and enhance the
department of Gastroenterology in collaboration with hospital and
service line leadership
- Oversee clinical operations, ensuring high-quality, efficient,
and patient-centered care.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance
with regulatory standards.
- Participate in the recruitment, development, and retention of
Gastroenterology physicians.
- Collaborate with other departments and specialists to foster a
multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Represent the Gastroenterology division at hospital committees
and meetings.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Gastroenterology and
incorporate them into clinical practice.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
- Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
- Significant experience in clinical practice and leadership
roles.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic
initiatives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and patient
safety.
- Experience in an academic or teaching hospital setting
preferred.
