Must-Have: Completed High School (Diploma or GED) Description:
Under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, pharmacy
technicians will assist pharmacists in the preparation and
distribution of medications and maintaining drug inventory.
Technicians must adhere to federal, state, and local laws and other
regulatory requirements regarding pharmacy and institutional
practice. Technicians will perform related work rotating between
various assignments and shifts to meet departmental needs. The
ability to perform work accurately with attention to detail within
specified time periods is essential. Technicians will be
responsible for receiving, returning, and delivering medications
and supplies to various areas. They will operate equipment properly
and troubleshoot automated dispensing systems as needed. Rotating
weekends is a requirement, and workers must report as scheduled,
including holidays. Pharmacy dispensing experience, sterile
processing experience, and IV room experience are preferred.
