Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Care Manager - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join a leading social services agency in Queens, NY, for a Community Health Center. Job Function: /n - Day Shift. /n - 8:30am - 5pm. /n - Provide prescribed or emergency care to patients requiring professional nursing services, including venipuncture, dressing changes, straight catheterization, suctioning, and immunizations. /n /n - Teach and supervise family members, auxiliary nursing personnel, or others giving care through one-on-one instruction and educational in-services. /n /n - Perform diagnostic tests as authorized by the Primary Care provider (PCP) and obtain laboratory specimens when needed. /n /n - Provide treatment under medical direction and assess, evaluate, and report the patient's physical and emotional condition, reactions to medications, treatments, or critical laboratory results. /n /n - Maintain up-to-date patient records and report pertinent patient information to the physician. /n /n /n Job Requirements: /n - 2 years of RN experience. /n /n - Active New York State Registered Nurse license. /n /n - Current BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred). /n /n - Proficiency in IV insertion, EKG monitoring, and phlebotomy. /n /n - 2 years of administrative experience in a management capacity in a certified home health agency (CHHA), long-term home health care (LHCSA), acute care, medical-surgical, critical care, nursing home experience, or diagnostic & treatment clinic preferred. /n /n /n /n /nDisclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment.
