TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in West Islip, New York, 11795! Pay Information $2,863 per week About The Position Job Title: Med Surg/Tele Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Must possess a valid state nursing license Certifications: BLS and ACLS required Must-Have: Ability to work in a patient ratio of up to 1:8 Description: Will consider 3x12 or 4x12 schedules. Candidates must have 2 years of experience with a permanent license. First-time travelers and local candidates are accepted. Uniforms must consist of scrubs in either all white, all navy, or a combination of the two colors. Ratios can go up to 1:8; candidates must be comfortable with this. COVID vaccine is required. This is an admissions unit. Modified time begins on 12/11/2025. Previous Charge experience is required. Charting experience with the Epic system is necessary. While trauma level I experience is preferred, level II experience is also acceptable. Travel experience is required. Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and adherence to isolation precautions. The patient population consists of adults and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 33 patients with 33 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Patient diagnoses include orthopedics, trauma, and neurosurgery. The unit is equipped to handle various procedures, including drains, wound vacs, and braces. Special equipment may be present as needed. Expectations for scheduling include self-scheduling and adherence to staffing ratios. Pre-approved time off policies apply. Travel compliance is necessary, with supervisory clinical references required at the time of submission. Previous permanent employees are not eligible for travel assignments.
