Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Acute Care Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for a contract assignment at a Prestigious Hospital in West Islip, NY. Job Function: Night Shift. 7pm to 7:30am. Using electrocardiogram (EKG) machines to continuously track heart performance. Analyzing EKG results to establish baselines and spot abnormalities; Recording EKG results to keep patient information accurate. Overseeing stress tests to assess patients’ heart function. Delivering emergency medical care when patients suffer heart attacks or other life-threatening problems. Administering medications and other treatments ordered by physicians. Educating patients on lifestyle changes and ongoing treatments prior to discharge from the hospital. Job Requirements: 2 years of experience. NYS licenses. BLS and ACLS.
