Hematologist/Oncologist Location: Bronx, NY Setting: Multispecialty
Outpatient Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and
dedicated Hematologist/Oncologist to join our multispecialty
outpatient team in Bronx, NY. The ideal candidate will be
responsible for diagnosing, treating, and caring for patients with
various forms of cancer. This role encompasses medical oncology,
surgical oncology, and radiation oncology, providing comprehensive
care including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, surgery, and radiation
therapy. The successful candidate will demonstrate empathy and
professionalism while managing complex patient care, possess strong
analytical and problem-solving skills, and stay up-to-date with
advancements in oncology. Responsibilities: Work directly with
patients to explain diagnoses, stage of cancer, and treatment
options, while assisting in managing side effects and symptoms.
Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary cancer treatment
team. Develop, coordinate, and prescribe personalized treatment
plans, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other medical
treatments. Administer and oversee radiation therapy for patients.
Assist patients with pain management and supportive care. Perform
surgical procedures to remove tumors and assess cancer progression.
Maintain accurate patient records, write prescriptions, provide
cancer-related education, and monitor ongoing treatment plans.
Qualifications: Medical degree in oncology, with completion of
residency and fellowship in oncology. Valid state license and board
certification to practice oncology. Compassionate and
patient-centered approach to care. Comprehensive and current
knowledge of cancers and available treatments. Proficiency in
operating medical equipment and tools used in cancer treatment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Company
