Description Principal Accountabilities: 1. Gives customized nutritional and health advice, proposes special diets, and counsels people on nutrition issues and healthy eating habits. 2. Prepares treatment plans based on specific patient needs and realistic goals. 3. Speaks with health professionals and the public about nutrition and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases. 4. Counsels and meets with patients regularly to discuss their progress and improvements in overall health, and supports and motivates them as they adjust to the new diets and lifestyles. 5. Researches how the body's functions are affected by nutrient supply, investigates the relationship between genes and nutrients, studies how diet affects metabolism, and examines the process of nourishment and the association between diet, disease, and health. 6. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: 1. Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Nutritional Science or related field. 2. 2 years of experience in a medical facility as a Nutritionist and/or documented evidence of internship completed in a medical office or relevant area. 3. Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist in accordance with the CDR. 4. Registered Dietitian - 2 Years. Preferred: 1. Master's degree in Nutrition, Nutritional Science or related field.
