Interstate Waste Services, a leader in non-hazardous waste management in the U.S. Northeast region, is seeking a dedicated Supervisor of Operations II to oversee daily operations within our busy waste management facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations, adherence to compliance and safety standards, and enhancing customer satisfaction through operational excellence. Oversee daily operations and coordinate activities at the waste management facility to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements Manage and lead a team of operations staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and setting improvement goals Implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining environmental and safety standards Liaise with other departments, such as customer service and logistics, to optimize operations and enhance service delivery Prepare, review, and report on operations metrics and performance indicators to senior management Ensure the maintenance and proper operation of equipment and facilities Handle incident reports and emergency situations, implementing corrective actions as necessary Strong leadership and people management skills Proficient in waste management regulations and environmental compliance Experience with operational logistics and process improvement Ability to prepare detailed reports and communicate effectively across different departments Capable of handling high-stress situations and decision-making Skilled in the use of operational software and tools relevant to the waste management industry Certified Waste Management Professional (CWMP) is preferred OSHA Safety Training Certification
